Update: Colony Days, Atascadero Fall Fest scheduled to happen rain or shine

– The Atascadero Fall Festival and Atascadero Colony Days will continue as scheduled this weekend despite rain in the forecast. The Fall Festival runs Friday, Nov. 14, through Sunday, Nov. 16, at the Sunken Gardens, and Colony Days takes place Saturday, Nov. 15.
The Colony Days parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday behind the Administration Building on Lewis Avenue. The route will cross the Arch Bridge and continue as Lewis Avenue becomes Capistrano Avenue, moving toward CA-41. After reaching CA-41, the parade will turn northwest onto El Camino Real before making a right onto Entrada or West Mall, ending near Lewis Avenue.
The Colony Days community celebration will follow the parade with vendors, entertainment and food in and around the Sunken Gardens.
Organizers confirmed that all events for both Fall Festival and Colony Days will proceed rain or shine.
Rain is in the forecast, but organizers plan to hold all events as scheduled.

Atascadero Colony Days parade entries now open
– The Atascadero Colony Days Parade will return Saturday, Nov. 15, as part of the city’s Fall Festival weekend. Parade organizers are inviting community members, schools, organizations, and businesses to participate or sponsor this year’s event.
The parade will begin at 10 a.m. in downtown Atascadero, starting on Lewis Avenue and ending near Entrada Avenue. Parade entries are free and open to all groups, including marching bands, floats, car clubs, equestrian teams, civic organizations, and local businesses.
This year’s theme, “Road to Atascadero: Butterfly Drive,” highlights community connection and encourages participants to celebrate local creativity.
Registration for parade entries is open at www.ColonyDays.org through Friday, Nov. 7.
The Atascadero Colony Days Committee is also seeking local sponsors to help support participating marching bands. Sponsor contributions will help fund music and performances during the parade, and sponsors will be recognized in event materials and during the parade.
