Atascadero church to host free Christmas concert Dec. 6-7
Volunteer musicians to perform, concert is free and open to the public
– A free community Christmas concert, hosted by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will mark its 15th performance this December. Since 1994, volunteer musicians have come together every other year to present a celebration of Christmas.
This year’s performances will take place on Dec. 6 and 7 at 7 p.m. at 2600 Ramona Road in Atascadero, located off the Del Rio exit from Highway 101. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for seating. The event is free to the public, with ample parking available in lots to the north and south of the building.
The program features a range of instruments, including organ, piano, brass, bells, violin, flute, and saxophone, alongside a full choir. Performers and attendees are drawn from across San Luis Obispo County and surrounding areas.
“Rehearsing and performing for the Christmas holiday season is something I look forward to every year, but especially in the years when we have Sing Noel. We are so excited to share our love for Jesus Christ through music,” said director Vicki van den Eikhof. “There is no better way to welcome the Christmas season! We are grateful for the efforts of so many people that make this free concert possible and hope the community will feel the Spirit of Christmas as they watch and listen to our performances.”
