Atascadero Chamber selected to host national conference
– The Atascadero Chamber of Commerce has announced that it has been selected to lead the 2026 Western Association of Chamber Executives Conference in Tucson, Arizona, one of the nation’s top events for chamber professionals. The selection highlights Atascadero’s growing influence in shaping chamber leadership and economic growth.
“Our chamber is leading the way—not just for Atascadero but for chambers across the country,” said President & CEO Josh Cross. “Being selected to guide the 2026 WACE Conference is a testament to the impact we’re making and the strength of our business community.”
Cross recently earned the prestigious Accredited Chamber Executive designation, which is one of the highest honors in the field. This designation is given to leaders who meet rigorous standards of excellence and demonstrate ongoing commitment to innovation, advocacy, and business success.
Vice President of Membership Julie Matthews has also been recognized for her pivotal role in driving growth, engagement, and community impact. Matthews was honored at W.A.C.E. for completing a three-year academy program, which requires 180 hours of specialized training in chamber management. She was also celebrated for 15 years of dedicated service to the chamber, reinforcing her role in cultivating business growth and community connections.
