‘Aquarius’ water media exhibition opens in Morro Bay Feb. 23

– The Central Coast Watercolor Society has announced the Aquarius 2023 California Open Watermedia Exhibition, to be held Feb. 23 – April 3, at Art Center Morro Bay, 835 Main Street, in Morro Bay.
The exhibition presents the best in water media painting, representing a wide range of subject material and techniques, from experimental to traditional, and encourages support for water media painting as a vital, enduring, and expressive artistic medium.
Submissions came from artists throughout California State as well as local CCWS members. The juror for selection and awards is the internationally recognized, award-winning watercolorist Fealing Lin. Over $3000 in cash and merchandise will be awarded.

The exhibition opened officially on Feb. 23 with an opening reception from 2-4 p.m. on Feb. 26, including the presentation of awards and certificates and a gallery tour. The show closes on April 3.
