Adoptable pet of the week: Scooter
–This week’s Adoptable Pet of the Week is Scooter, from North County Humane Society.
Scooter is a large, fuzzy orange tabby guy looking for a new home. He is a playful, friendly 5-year-old who loves to follow visitors as they walk around the cat room, or he may be found napping by a window on the porch.
Scooter grew up in Cambria, but his owner had to move, and the new landlord would not allow cats. He arrived at NCHS 1 month ago with his sister Sasha; she has already been adopted, so now it is Scooter’s turn. He has been both indoor and outdoor, gets along well with other cats, and seems fine around kids. He has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and he is ready to go home with a new family today.
NCHS has many cats and kittens available for adoption; they can be viewed on the website at www.slonchs.org. Potential pet parents are encouraged to visit NCHS to find the right cat for their family.
The North County Humane Society is located in Atascadero, just off of Highway 101 by the Del Rio Road exit, at 2300 Ramona Rd. They are open Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. More information is provided on the website, or call NCHS at (805) 466-5403.
