Adopt adult cats free during Woods Humane’s ‘Catchella’ event
Adoption fees waived for adult cats from June 14-23
– Woods Humane Society will host Catchella, a festival of fee-waived adult feline adoptions, from June 14 to 23. Adult cats, aged 5 months or older, will be available for free adoption during this event.
“During National Adopt a Cat Month, we want to take a moment to shine a spotlight on our ‘meowsical’ stars of the shelter,” said Woods CEO Emily L’Heureux. “With the Catchella event, we hope to help our adult cats stand out from the crowds of kittens currently entering the shelter so that they can find loving homes.”
Woods Humane Society currently has 26 adult cats available for adoption, with more arriving daily. Adoption fees for cats, which typically range from $65 to $100, will be waived during Catchella to remove barriers to adoption and make space for the influx of kittens needing shelter.
The Woods Catchella festival runs from Friday, June 14, through Sunday, June 23. All adoptable cats have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, licensed, and treated for parasites. Adoptions also include 30 days of optional pet insurance and a free wellness exam at a local vet clinic.
Woods Humane Society is located at 875 Oklahoma Ave., San Luis Obispo, CA 93405, and 2300 Ramona Rd., Atascadero, CA 93422. It is open daily from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., with adoption hours from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, visit www.WoodsHumane.org or call (805) 543-9316.
