AAUW college scholarship applications now available
The scholarship is available to North County women
– Applications for a scholarship from the Atascadero branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) are available now until May 16, 2022.
Scholarships are available to North County women with at least one year of college or university-level credits who will re-enroll in the 2022-2023 school year, whether as continuing or returning students.
Women who live in North County or have graduated from a high school in the area can apply regardless of where they intend to enroll.
There are two specialized scholarships: one for students pursuing an education (teaching) degree and one for those in a childhood education/childcare program. However, the rest are available to all majors.
Funds are granted directly to scholarship recipients rather than to their schools, so they can choose to pay for direct costs like tuition, room and board, books, lab fees and more. Alternatively, recipients can use the funds to pay for childcare, medical expenses, transportation costs or the like to ensure they can remain enrolled in school.
