The historic Atascadero Printery building.
Fundraiser to feature printing demonstrations and a digital walkthrough of the building’s future
– The Atascadero Printery Foundation will host its Start the Presses annual gala on Sunday, Nov. 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the historic Atascadero Printery, 6351 Olmeda Ave.
With the theme “Printing Returns to the Press,” the evening will include printing demonstrations and an interactive digital walkthrough in which guests use a controller to explore a visualization of the Printery’s planned spaces, according to the foundation. The gala will also feature food, drinks, and a silent auction.
Proceeds will help reclaim, rehabilitate, and repurpose the Printery for community use. Built in 1915, the Printery began as a publishing facility, and the foundation is working to restore it as a home for arts, education, nonprofit organizations, and community activities.
General admission tickets cost $40 and are available online.
