Obituary of Jennifer Sue Phillips, 46, of Atascadero

Jennifer Sue Phillips

Jennifer Sue Phillips.

– Jennifer Sue Phillips, 46, passed away peacefully on Oct. 7, 2026, just three days after her birthday. Though her life was far too short, the warmth of her spirit, the kindness of her heart, and the joy she brought to others will remain with all who knew and loved her.

Jennifer had a gift for bringing light wherever she went. Her quick humor, beautiful smile, and generous heart could brighten even the hardest day. She made people feel seen, loved, and a little less alone, leaving behind memories filled with laughter, tenderness, and love.

Above all else, Jennifer’s three girls were her world. Her love for her daughters was immeasurable, and family was at the center of everything she was. She fought bravely until the very end, carrying a strength that will forever be part of her legacy. That strength, along with the love she gave so freely, will live on through her children, grandchildren, and the family she cherished so deeply.

Jennifer is survived by her beloved daughters, Sierra Wainwright (Jakson), Rylee Holquin, and Charlee Hope Kalin; her father, Russell Phillips, and stepmother, Roxie; her mother, Susan Smith, and stepfather, Owen; her sister, Denise Vasquez; her brothers, Michael Phillips (Mary) and Jason Phillips; her stepbrother, C.J. Tinsley; and her stepsister, Kristen Tinsley. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Delilah, Archer, Bear, Zara, and Arlo, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her beloved baby son, Jude.

Though her family must now face the heartbreak of saying goodbye, Jennifer’s memory will live on in every smile she inspired, every moment of laughter she shared, and the love she gave so freely to those around her. She will forever be loved, deeply missed, and held close in the hearts of all who knew her.

In keeping with Jennifer’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Instead, her family and friends are invited to a celebration of life — a time to come together, share stories, laugh, remember the good times, and celebrate the life of a woman who brought so much light and love into the world. Guests are welcome to bring their favorite side dish to share. BYOB.

Jennifer’s celebration of life will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, from 3 to 7 p.m. at The Barn at Meadowbrook Mobile Home Park, 1220 Bennett Way, Templeton.

In Jennifer’s honor, may we remember her not only with tears for the loss of her, but with laughter for the joy she brought us, love for the family she cherished, and smiles that reflect the light she shared with everyone around her.
