PEO Paso to host scholarship fundraiser in Atascadero
Organization works to motivate, educate, and celebrate women
– PEO Paso will host a scholarship and fundraising event on Sunday, Sept. 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Central Coast Distillery, 1875 El Camino Real, in Atascadero.
The event is open to the public and will feature live music, food, a fashion show, beverages, and door prizes. Admission is free with the purchase of food and beverages.
Since 2002, PEO Paso has helped more than 80 women and families with more than $200,000 in support.
PEO, which stands for Philanthropic Educational Organization, has worked to motivate, educate, and celebrate women for more than 156 years. Since its inception in 1869, the nonprofit organization has helped more than 132,000 women across North America pursue their life goals by providing more than $486 million in educational assistance.
PEO California State Chapter has awarded more than $15 million in educational assistance and $4.2 million in emergency financial aid. The sisterhood also provides primary support for Cottey College.
