Atascadero opens registration for winter youth basketball program
– The City of Atascadero has opened registration for its winter youth basketball program for students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
The recreational program includes divisions for players of all skill levels and focuses on individual skill development, teamwork, and positive attitudes.
All registered players must attend one of two skills clinics and assessments. The clinics will take place Sept. 19 and Oct. 24 from 12:30 to 6 p.m. Players may arrive at any time during either clinic. Organizers will divide players into groups and guide them through stations. Each assessment should take 20 to 45 minutes.
Practices will begin the week of Nov. 30. Games will take place Saturdays from Jan. 9 through March 6.
Registration costs $121 for Atascadero residents and $132 for nonresidents. Registration closes Oct. 21.
