City, high school introduce new ‘Orange & Grey Fridays’ discount program
New program offers restaurant discounts during Greyhound home games
– The City of Atascadero and Atascadero High School will launch Orange & Grey Fridays during the Greyhounds’ first home football game Thursday, Aug. 20.
Participating Downtown restaurants and drinking establishments will offer a 10% discount to customers who wear orange and gray team colors on home game days. Customers may use the discount before, during, or after games.
A-Town Diner, Barley & Boar, Cielo Italian Restaurant & Rooftop Bar, Guest House Grill, Street Side Ale House, Colony Sandwich Company, and Wild Fields Brewhouse will offer 10% off food. The discounts do not include beverages.
A-Town Chop Shop, Decades Lounge, Kula Hawaiian Kitchen & Winery, and Wild Fields Brewing will offer 10% off beverages.
The promotion will coincide with home football games on Aug. 20, Aug. 28, Sept. 25, Oct. 16, and Oct. 30. The Aug. 20 game is the only Thursday home game.
Visitors can park Downtown, eat at a participating business, and reach the high school football field through the tunnel across from Sunken Gardens.
Team apparel is available through the Mascot Shop. Students will receive 10% of the proceeds for school programs.
