Montana artist Kelsey Wickwire to exhibit work in Atascadero
‘Flower Fields’ artist reception set for Aug. 7 at Fieldwork
– Montana artist Kelsey Wickwire will present her solo exhibition, “Flower Fields,” during an artist reception Friday, Aug. 7, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Fieldwork in downtown Atascadero.
The event will take place at 5880 Entrada Ave. Admission is free.
Originally from California and now based in Montana, Wickwire creates paintings exploring memory, landscape, and connections between people and place through botanical imagery, color, and dreamlike compositions.
Guests will have an opportunity to meet Wickwire and view her newest collection of original work. Josh Ottum and Alex Nash will perform live music during the reception.
“I’ve believed in Kelsey’s work for a long time,” said Amy Beams. “She worked with me years ago in Seal Beach, and I’ve continued sharing her work through Golden State Goods ever since. Watching her grow as an artist and now dedicating an exhibition to her at Fieldwork feels like a full-circle moment.”
Fieldwork is an artist-led creative event space hosted by Arthur Mount, Allie Mount, and Beams. Its mission is to support the local community through creative arts programming.
