Two climbers rescued from Morro Rock

Cal Fire, harbor patrol, and state parks responded
– Two climbers were safely rescued from Morro Rock on Sunday afternoon after emergency crews responded to a reported cliff rescue in Morro Bay, according to multiple reports.
According to emergency scanner traffic, rescue personnel made contact with the climbers around 3:15 p.m. and began walking them to safety.
The climbers were safely rescued around 3:30 p.m., according to emergency scanner traffic. All units were then released from the scene.
Emergency crews were dispatched after reports that two climbers were about 100 feet up Morro Rock. As of 3 p.m., rescue personnel were being sent to assist the climbers, according to emergency radio traffic.
Cal Fire, Morro Bay Harbor Patrol, and California State Parks personnel responded to the incident.
