Brew at the Zoo returns to Atascadero Sept. 6

Fundraiser to feature craft beer, live music, and contests

The event will take place from 5-8 p.m. Sept. 12 at the zoo.

The fundraiser will feature a variety of craft beer, wine, cider, seltzer, and distilled spirits. A “welcome” reception will pour special spirits, cider, and wine for guests as they enter the zoo on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Andrew Sedley Jazz Trio and The Vibe Setters will perform during the event. Chris, with Subtone Records, will serve as emcee and lead entertainment that includes games, a costume contest, and a hula hoop and dance contest, with prizes for winners.

Food will be available for purchase, and attendees will receive a collectible glass. T-shirts will also be available for purchase.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the zoo’s education and conservation efforts.

Nearly 65 species of animals live at the zoo, including red pandas, monkeys, fossa, meerkats, parrots, and a variety of reptiles.

Online tickets cost $45 per person, and online service fees apply. Designated driver tickets cost $15 per person. Tickets will cost $55 per person on the day of the event if they are not sold out beforehand. Tickets are available at www.VisitAtascadero.com/BrewattheZoo or at the zoo.

The event is closed to the public and open only to guests 21 years of age and older, with no exceptions. Designated drivers must also be at least 21 years old to attend.
