A-Town Get Down returns to Downtown Atascadero June 26
Event features live music, shopping, food trucks, and activities
– Downtown Atascadero will host the A-Town Get Down Block Party from 5 to 9 p.m. June 26.
The event will feature live music, shopping, food trucks, family activities, and community events throughout the downtown district.
The celebration comes one year after the completion of Downtown Atascadero’s revitalization project. Organizers said local businesses have continued working together to promote commerce, encourage community connections, and attract residents and visitors to downtown.
This year’s event will include a music crawl featuring 16 musicians and bands performing throughout downtown as part of the inaugural Battle of the Musicians competition. Attendees may walk between participating businesses, watch performances, explore local shops, and vote for their favorite musician.
Downtown businesses will remain open during the event. Participating merchants will host pop-up vendors, activities, and special experiences, including Tess Davis Jewelry at Specs by Kyla and Julez Bryant at Purely Golden Tans.
Additional activities will include food trucks, a Kids Zone near Little Cousins, and participation from Garden City, an upcoming downtown destination.
A community flash mob is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Entrada Avenue.
The celebration comes one year after the completion of Downtown Atascadero’s revitalization project.
“The A-Town Get Down celebrates the energy and momentum happening in Downtown Atascadero,” organizers with the Merchants of Downtown Atascadero said. “It’s an opportunity to support local businesses, discover local musicians, connect with neighbors, and experience the unique character of our downtown.”
Maps showing musician locations and voting information will be available throughout downtown and online. Community members may vote for their favorite performer, with the winning musician receiving a featured performance opportunity at a future downtown event.
The event will include 16 musicians performing throughout downtown, the Battle of the Musicians voting competition, shops open late, food trucks, a Kids Zone, pop-up vendors, merchant activities, and the community flash mob.
Admission is free and open to the public.
