Officer Nate Lehr discusses community, career choice in Q&A
– The Atascadero Police Department announced the addition of a new officer in a recent social media post.
Officer Nate Lehr has joined the department. According to the post, he brings a commitment to service and an interest in community engagement.
In a question-and-answer included in the announcement, Lehr said he chose a career in law enforcement because “I want to help others.”
He said he is “looking forward to getting to know the community more.”
When asked about preferences during long shifts, Lehr said, “I like coffee more, but energy drinks work better.”
Lehr said he enjoys spending time outdoors or watching sports when off duty.
Asked what advice he would give his younger self, he said, “Save more money.”
Lehr also identified “La Parrilla” as a favorite local spot or one he is interested in trying.
