Construction on Wellsona Road Safety Improvement Project now complete
– A project to construct an undercrossing and frontage road near the intersection of U.S. 101 and Wellsona Road is complete, according to a release from CalTrans.
The new undercrossing includes a 112-foot-long bridge and a frontage road that connects the undercrossing with Wellsona Road on either side of U.S. 101. The undercrossing, located beneath U.S. 101 south of the existing intersection, eliminates the need for motorists to make left turns across traffic on the highway.
The contractor for the $12.2 million project was CalPortland Construction of Santa Maria, California.
