Templeton student earns Oklahoma State University agriculture scholarship

– San Luis Obispo County student Carly Wheeler received scholarship support from the Oklahoma State University Ferguson College of Agriculture for the 2026-2027 academic year.
The scholarships were awarded on March 26 at the college’s Scholarship and Awards banquet in Stillwater.
The college distributes more than $1.8 million in scholarships through its academic departments. Students from all areas of study are considered for college scholarships, which can be combined with departmental and university awards.
“Our students continuously showcase academic and professional success through their endeavors in the Ferguson College,” said Cynda Clary, associate dean of academic programs. “These scholarships, made possible because of the generosity of our alumni and friends, are a testament to our students’ success, and it is a privilege to recognize them.”
Carly Wheeler of Templeton received the Burruss Family Endowed Scholarship Fund in Agricultural Leadership. Wheeler studies agricultural communications.
The Ferguson College of Agriculture states it emphasizes hands-on education and a well-rounded student experience, offering 16 majors, a range of study options, and more than 60 student organizations.
