Middle School Jazz Band performs at Central Coast Jazz Festival
Musicians gain guidance from professional judges and guest artists
– The Atascadero Middle School Jazz Band participated in the Central Coast Jazz Festival held at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo. The annual event brings together middle school, high school, and college jazz musicians for a weekend of performances, on-stage clinics, and feedback from professional judges.
Students from AMS had the opportunity to perform, learn from experienced musicians, and grow their skills in a structured educational setting. The festival featured special guest artist, renowned saxophonist Ernie Watts, who performed and worked with students during the event.
School officials said they are proud of the musicians for representing AMS and for the hard work and dedication they put into preparing for the festival.
