Two-vehicle crash involving wrong-way driver reported south of Morro Bay
– A two-vehicle crash involving a wrong-way driver was reported Feb. 10 at 4:09 p.m. on State Route 1, just south of Morro Bay, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred when a silver Hyundai traveling southbound entered the northbound lanes and struck a white Lexus traveling northbound in regular traffic. The vehicles collided head-on during rainy conditions.
Officials reported minor to moderate injuries to both drivers. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
