Woods Humane Society waives adoption fees for cats Nov. 21–25

Locations in Atascadero and San Luis Obispo currently have 34 cats available for adoption
– Woods Humane Society announced a Feline Black Friday adoption promotion that will waive adoption fees for cats and kittens from Nov. 21 through Nov. 25.
“We hope this event will increase awareness about cats in need, reduce barriers to adoption, and help our feline friends find their families in advance of the holiday season,” says Woods Chief Executive Officer Emily L’Heureux.
Adoption fees for cats and kittens at Woods typically range from $65 to $150. The organization says its shelter locations in Atascadero and San Luis Obispo currently have 34 cats available for adoption, including five kittens, with more arriving each day. Woods plans to use the Thanksgiving holiday period to make repairs and improvements at its North County shelter and hopes to clear the Cattery to place current animals into homes.
The promotion will run from Nov. 21 through Nov. 25. The Atascadero location will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for adoptions, and the San Luis Obispo location will be open from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Both locations will operate on a first-come, first-served basis. The San Luis Obispo campus is at 875 Oklahoma Ave., San Luis Obispo, CA 93405. The North County campus is at 2300 Ramona Road, Atascadero, CA 93422.
