Atascadero seeks public input on 2045 General Plan update
Residents can share feedback on draft plan and zoning updates
– The City of Atascadero will host an open house on Oct. 21 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the City Hall foyer for residents to review and provide input on the Draft General Plan Elements, preliminary zoning districts, and proposed land use regulations.
The informal drop-in event will give residents the opportunity to meet with city staff and the consultant team to discuss the project and offer feedback before the Draft General Plan is finalized. Attendees are encouraged to review the draft materials beforehand at www.atascadero2045.org/documents.
Following the open house, the Planning Commission will hold a hearing at 6 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers to discuss the Draft General Plan. The plan is also scheduled to go before the City Council for a formal hearing on Oct. 28 at 6 p.m.
The General Plan update for 2045 outlines the city’s long-term vision for housing, jobs, infrastructure, public spaces, the economy, and sustainability. There will be no formal presentation at the open house, but formal presentations and public comment opportunities will be available during the Planning Commission and City Council meetings.
