Update: Motorcyclist killed in collision identified

– Police have identified the motorcyclist who was killed in a crash in Atascadero on Saturday night as Alexander Chavez Villa, 24, of Paso Robles. Villa died after his motorcycle collided with a car in the 8300 block of El Camino Real, according to a report by the San Luis Obispo Tribune.

Early morning fireworks prompt multiple calls to Atascadero police

– The Atascadero Police Department is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred Sept. 27 at about 7:25 p.m. in the 8300 block of El Camino Real.

Officers determined that two vehicles, a passenger car and a motorcycle, were involved. The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries. Four occupants from the passenger car were transported to Twin Cities Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The roadway is expected to remain closed while investigators process the scene.

The collision remains under investigation. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information is asked to call the Atascadero Police Department at (805) 461-5051.
