Paso Robles man arrested on domestic violence charges after vehicle pursuit
Atascadero police arrest Ivan Sandoval-Farias
– A Paso Robles man was arrested Aug. 21 following a vehicle pursuit connected to a domestic violence case reported earlier this month, according to a press release from the Atascadero Police Department.
On Aug. 12, officers responded to a report of domestic violence. The suspect, identified as Ivan Sandoval-Farias, 29, fled the scene in a vehicle before officers arrived. Police determined Sandoval-Farias was on parole for evading a peace officer.
An Atascadero police detective later located Sandoval-Farias driving on Highway 101. When the detective attempted a traffic stop, a pursuit began. Police said Sandoval-Farias drove recklessly through rural Templeton and into Paso Robles.
Officers later found his vehicle unoccupied in the 1400 block of Stoney Creek Road, but Sandoval-Farias was not located.
Following an ongoing investigation, Sandoval-Farias was found Aug. 21 in a vehicle. The California Highway Patrol stopped him near Highway 46 West and Vineyard Road with assistance from Atascadero police detectives and Paso Robles police detectives.
Sandoval-Farias was arrested and booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on suspicion of felony domestic violence, felony evading a peace officer and a parole warrant. He remains in custody.
