Atascadero closes summer concert series with blues bash
Event features food, drinks, and two local bands
– The City of Atascadero will host its End of Summer “Blues Bash” on Aug. 30 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Atascadero Lake Park Bandstand.
The event will conclude the 2025 “Saturday in the Park” Summer Concert Series and will feature two bands, The Cinders Blues Band and Leslie & the Soul Shakers.
The Cinders Blues Band, fronted by vocalist Brett Hoover, performs a variety of blues styles from Chicago to San Francisco dating from the 1950s to the present. Guitarist Dorian Michael, bassist Ken Hustad and drummer Dean Giles have played together for decades.
Leslie & the Soul Shakers is a Central Coast group led by Leslie Rogers. The band performs soulful R&B, Motown and blues.
Food and drinks will be available, including offerings from Paradise Shaved Ice and Wild Fields Lakeside.
The concerts are free to attend. Guests are encouraged to bring low-back chairs.
