– The Atascadero Police Department will host its annual National Night Out event on Aug. 5 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Sunken Gardens in downtown Atascadero, located at 6505 El Camino Real.

National Night Out is a yearly community-building campaign aimed at strengthening partnerships between police and the community. The event is designed to promote neighborhood camaraderie and to help make communities safer and more connected. It also provides an opportunity for law enforcement and residents to engage under positive circumstances.

The event is free to all community members. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet officers from the Atascadero Police Department and public safety partners, receive safety tips, and view various exhibitions.

This year’s event will also feature a prize raffle. Community members can visit the prize table to receive a raffle ticket and enter to win items donated by local businesses. Donations include four $25 gift cards and two hats from The Nest Café.
