Adult basketball league returns to Colony Park in August
– The City of Atascadero has opened team registration for its upcoming adult basketball league, which will run from Aug. 24 through Oct. 19 at Colony Park Community Center.
The league will include seven regular season games and at least one game in an end-of-season tournament. Games are scheduled to take place on Sundays, with the possibility of Monday night games. No games will be played on Aug. 31.
Applications are accepted on a team basis only. Teams must have a minimum of eight players and a maximum of 16. All teams may be coed. A team manager’s meeting is scheduled for Aug. 18 at Colony Park Community Center. The time of the meeting has not yet been determined.
The cost to register is $502 per team. An additional fee of $6 per non-resident player applies. If a team has eight or more non-residents, a 10% surcharge of $50.20 will be added to the registration fee.
Registration forms and fees must be submitted in person at the front desk of Colony Park Community Center, located at 5599 Traffic Way, Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. The deadline to register is Aug. 8.
