‘Mufasa’ plays July 11 at Atascadero’s Movies in the Park
– The City of Atascadero will present the film Mufasa (PG) as part of its Summer Movies in the Park series on Friday, July 11 at Colony Park Softball Field #2, located at 5599 Traffic Way, next to the Colony Park Community Center.
The event will begin at 7 p.m. with games and activities for families, including chalk drawing, frisbee tossing, mini-soccer games and sack races. The movie will begin approximately 15 minutes after sunset.
Mufasa tells the story of an orphaned cub named Mufasa who meets a sympathetic lion named Taka, the heir to a royal bloodline. Their encounter launches a journey involving a group of misfits searching for their destinies.
Admission to the movie and activities is free. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket and low-back chair. Food will be available for purchase.
