Gina Hobbs (Martin) obituary

Gina Hobbs (Martin).

– Gina Hobbs (Martin), 58, of Atascadero, California, passed away on March 12, 2025.

A vibrant force of nature with an unforgettable laugh and a heart full of fire, Gina was an Empty Nester, Reluctant Yogini, and Wannabe Body Builder who loved Pitbull, Pinot, and pizza in equal measure.

Professionally, Gina poured her heart into health and wellness. She was the proud CEO of Gina Hobbs-Motley Health and Wellness, a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutritionist, and a beloved ZUMBA Fitness Instructor at Give Fitness Health Club. Her dedication to helping others thrive was matched only by her commitment to learning—she studied Yoga at Aura Wellness Center, Sports Nutrition at ISSA, and held numerous certifications in fitness, nutrition, and counseling. She built a career not just on expertise, but on connection, encouragement, and authenticity.

Gina inspired many through her work as a Nutrition Consultant & Counselor, Sports & Fitness Trainer, and in her personal life—always chasing joy, lifting others up, and embracing every challenge with grit and grace.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Rick Hobbs, and her four children: Jarrod Kominsky (spouse Aimee), Danielle Tomb (spouse Mark), Nathaniel Hobbs (spouse Alondra), and Isabella Hobbs. Gina was also a proud and loving grandmother to two grandchildren, Emery Kominsky and Everett Hobbs, who brought her endless joy. She is also survived by her three sisters, Tina Walker, Jana Nichols, and Julie Rogers.

Beyond fitness and family, Gina found comfort and healing in her creativity. She managed anxiety and chronic illness through crochet, knitting, and any craft that brought her peace—an experience she shared openly on her YouTube channel, Teddy Bears and Tube Socks. Her quiet strength, vulnerability, and authenticity touched countless lives.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date where friends and family are invited to share stories, dance a little ZUMBA, and raise a glass in her honor.

Gina lived boldly and unapologetically. She reminded us all to move our bodies, feed our souls, and never take life—or ourselves—too seriously.
