City of Atascadero opens summer aquatics program at high school pool 

Activities include lap swim, recreational swim, and group swim lessons

– The city of Atascadero will launch its 2025 summer aquatics program on June 30, with activities including lap swim, recreational swim, and group swim lessons held at the Atascadero High School pool.

Lap swim will take place Monday through Friday from 12 to 1:30 p.m., followed by recreational swim from 2 to 3:40 p.m. The pool will be closed on July 4.

Group swim lessons will begin the week of July 7, offering three different skill levels and two time slots. Each session runs for one week and includes daily 30-minute lessons.

Drop-in lap and recreational swim costs $5 per participant. Swim passes, valid for 10 swims and applicable for both lap and recreational swim, are available for $45. Group swim lessons cost $85 for residents and $93.50 for non-residents.

Participants can register online at www.atascadero.org. In-person registration for all lessons, passes, and drop-in swims is available at the Colony Park Community Center, located at 5599 Traffic Way, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or on-site during programming hours at the Atascadero High School pool. Passes must be purchased in person.
