Atascadero Middle School educator named Teacher of the Year
Sarah Iba praised for student support and leadership
– Sarah Iba, a seventh grade science teacher and athletic director at Atascadero Middle School, was recognized this week as the Atascadero Unified School District Teacher of the Year.
Iba was honored during a ceremony hosted by the Atascadero District Teachers Association and the Atascadero Unified School District administration.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Iba serves as the school’s athletic director, where she works to ensure successful sports seasons for student-athletes, coaches, and referees. She maintains expectations that student-athletes remain accountable, mindful, and safe.
The district recognized Iba for her work supporting students academically and athletically at Atascadero Middle School.
