SLO Wind Orchestra hosting free chamber music concert in Atascadero

– The San Luis Obispo Wind Orchestra will host a free chamber music concert on March 16 at 3 p.m. at Atascadero United Methodist Church, 11605 El Camino Real. The event is open to the public, and donations are appreciated.
The concert will feature performances by several ensembles within the orchestra. The TetraSonic Sax Quartet will play “Mountain Roads” by David Maslanka, including movements IV. Chorale and I. Overture. The Pegasus Ensemble will perform a flute duo, while the Wind in the Reeds Clarinet Ensemble will present “Licorice Stick Suite” and “Smoke Gets in Your Eyes.” Additional performances are also scheduled.
Seating is available on a first come, first served basis. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure a spot.
The San Luis Obispo Wind Orchestra is a 60-member ensemble specializing in symphonic wind band music. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the orchestra is composed of community musicians and aims to enhance the region’s cultural landscape through concerts, education and outreach.
