Applications open for Miss California Mid-State Fair pageant

– The California Mid-State Fair is accepting online applications for the 2025 Miss California Mid-State Fair Scholarship Pageant.

Eligible contestants must be between the ages of 18 and 24 on the opening day of the fair, July 16, or be a graduating senior. Applicants must be current residents of San Luis Obispo County and provide a valid ID or driver’s license for verification. Contestants must also have never been married.

Participants will compete in five categories: interview, fair and pageant proposal, talent, evening gown, and final question. Those selected as queen or princess must attend each day of the 2025 fair, participating in public events such as introducing performers, meeting dignitaries, and engaging with fairgoers.

Each contestant will receive gifts, and top winners will earn scholarship prizes. The queen will receive a $2,500 cash award, the first runner-up princess will receive $1,000, and the second runner-up princess will be awarded $500. Additional awards include Miss Congeniality ($250), Best in Interview ($100), and Best in Talent ($100).

The pageant is scheduled for July 16 at 6 p.m. on the Frontier Stage. Admission is free with paid entry to the fair.

A no-obligation orientation meeting will take place on April 2 at 5:30 p.m. in the Administration Office at the Paso Robles Event Center. For more information, contact Pageant Director Patti Lucas at (805) 612-6971 or [email protected].

Applications are due by April 18 at 11:59 p.m. and are available online at www.midstatefair.com on the Applications page. Accepted applicants will be notified, and the first official pageant meeting is set for April 30 at 6 p.m.

The 2025 Miss California Mid-State Fair Scholarship Pageant is sponsored by Cattaneo Bros. and Boot Barn.
