Atascadero Chamber to host ‘State of the City’ event in February
Speakers will share insights on growth, development, and infrastructure
– The Atascadero Chamber of Commerce will host the State of the City event on Feb. 13, 2025, at the Colony Theater from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The event provides an opportunity to reflect on Atascadero’s progress, challenges, and future vision.
City Mayor Charles Bourbeau will speak on the city’s direction, while City Manager Jim Lewis will discuss key investments in infrastructure, services, and community well-being for 2025. Josh Cross, President and CEO of the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce, will guide discussions on economic development, community initiatives, and long-term planning.
Other guest speakers include Phil Dunsmore, Community Development Manager, and Loreli Cappel, Deputy Director of Economic Development, who will present “Authentic Atascadero” and the 2045 General Plan. They will outline future goals and economic prosperity for the city. Terrie Banish, Director of Community Services, will discuss efforts in tourism, marketing, and recreation, showcasing Atascadero’s growth as a welcoming and vibrant community. Dr. Cynthia Springfield, Zoo Director, will present “What’s New at The Zoo?” and provide insights on recent developments and new exhibits at the Charles Paddock Zoo.

The event is an opportunity for residents, business leaders, and stakeholders to stay informed and engaged in the city’s future. The deadline to register is Feb. 12, 2025.
