Holiday Magic at Charles Paddock Zoo features Santa, live magic
Event is included with regular zoo admission
– The Charles Paddock Zoo will host its annual Holiday Magic event on Saturday, Dec. 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will feature zookeeper-led gift presentations for the animals and an appearance from Santa Claus, who will be on-site to greet visitors.
Scheduled animal gift deliveries will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., offering guests the chance to watch animals, including meerkats, tigers, and monkeys, open their holiday gifts. Holiday music and magic will be provided by Andy Morris, and the Central Coast Garden Railroad Society will present a model railroad display. The zoo will also be decorated for the holiday season.
The zoo invites community members to support the animals by contributing from the zoo’s enrichment items list on Amazon. These items aim to enhance the animals’ well-being and holiday experience.
The event is included with regular zoo admission. Admission rates are $13 for adults 13 and older, $8 for children ages 5-12, $5 for children ages 3-4, and free for children 2 and under. Seniors 65 and older can enter for $11. The zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The zoo is home to more than 300 animals, including red pandas, monkeys, meerkats, parrots, a Malayan tiger, and a variety of reptiles. Visitors are encouraged to explore the zoo’s gift shop for stocking stuffer ideas and consider purchasing a zoo membership as a holiday gift.
