Free waste drop-off event runs Oct. 19-26 in Atascadero
– WM will provide an opportunity for residents of Atascadero to dispose of extra household waste for free at the Chicago Grade Landfill from Oct. 19 to Oct. 26. During this period, Atascadero residents can drop off household waste, scrap metal, green waste, bagged hardscape, and hazardous waste at the landfill. Hazardous waste will only be accepted on Saturdays between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Participants must present a Waste Management voucher to take part in the event. Residents should arrive in a personal truck or vehicle, as trailers attached to personal trucks will not be allowed. Customers wishing to drop off waste can obtain their vouchers at the local WM office in Atascadero. For more information or to request a voucher, residents can contact (805) 466-3636.
The Chicago Grade Landfill is located at 2290 Homestead Road in Templeton. The free waste drop-off event will take place daily from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
