– The Women of Influence North County (wINC) program has announced its three finalists for this year’s awards. This annual event is a joint effort between the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce and the Atascadero chapter of the American Association of University Women (AAUW).
The finalists are:
- Young Won, CEO of Angels Group Home, which supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing a safe and nurturing environment.
- Elissa Williams, owner and broker at Remax Success, known for her commitment to community service and philanthropy.
- Yessenia Echevarria, founder of Mujeres de Accion, an organization that focuses on outreach to underserved community members and advocacy in areas such as ethnic studies.
The chamber and AAUW aim to inspire and promote diversity, equality, and empowerment within the local community through this program.
“We are honored to recognize these exceptional women who are making an impact not only in the industries in which they work, but also making a difference in the lives of others,” Julie Matthews, VP of Membership with the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce, said, “Their contributions of service in our community embody the spirit of leadership and empowerment. We invite the community to celebrate with us at the Women of Influence North County luncheon and get to know these women who are driving positive change.”
The luncheon will take place on Oct. 3 at 11:30 a.m. at Springhill Suites by Marriott Atascadero. Each finalist will share their experiences, and one will be named the 2024 Woman of Influence, receiving further recognition at the 2025 Atascadero Chamber Annual Awards Dinner and Gala on April 5, 2025. Tickets for the luncheon are expected to sell out. Secure your ticket at atascaderochamber.org.
