Pedestrian hospitalized after collision in San Luis Obispo
Driver remained at the scene, cooperated with the investigation
– A 65-year-old transient male was seriously injured in a vehicle versus pedestrian collision on Broad Street in San Luis Obispo on Sunday night. The incident occurred at 10:19 p.m. in the 2900 block of Broad Street, near the intersection of Broad and Orcutt, according to the San Luis Obispo Police Department.
Emergency responders from the San Luis Obispo Police and Fire Departments arrived at the scene, and the pedestrian was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Authorities do not suspect drugs or alcohol as factors in the collision.
The Severe Collision Investigation Detail Team was called to the scene to take over the investigation and determine the cause of the incident.
