Local artist opens children’s art studio in Atascadero
Lavoux, who has two children, used her experience as a mother to design the studio environment
– Keshet Lavoux, a Cal Poly alumna, has opened a children’s art studio at 7600 El Camino Real, Suite 12, in Atascadero. Lavoux transformed her initial garage art camp into the studio, which aims to provide a space for children to explore their creativity.
The studio offers various programs, including summer camps, afterschool art classes, private paint parties, Friday night pop-up art nights, and birthday celebrations. Lavoux also collaborates with local school districts, teaching step-by-step canvas painting and planning family paint experiences and fundraisers.
Lavoux said, “At its heart, my studio is a place where every child can have fun, learn, and let their inner artist shine.”
The studio features rainbow carpets and designated areas for play and crafting. Lavoux, who has two children, used her experience as a mother to design the studio environment.
“I remember the joy of crafting with my own children and the excitement it brought,” Lavoux said. “Now, I want to spark that same excitement in every child who walks through our studio doors.”
