Atascadero Community Band makes record-breaking donation to senior center
Donation follows the band’s recent musical event, ‘On with the Show!’
– The Atascadero Community Band has made its largest-ever donation, recently presenting the Atascadero Senior Center with a check totaling $1,530. The donation follows the band’s recent musical event, “On with the Show!” which celebrated Broadway’s musical legacy. The event featured a chronological journey through beloved productions of the past century, including selections from “The Wizard of Oz,” “Cats,” “Guys and Dolls,” and “Chicago.”
The Atascadero Community Band, comprised entirely of volunteers, performs indoor concerts throughout the year before moving to its outdoor summer venue at the Atascadero Lake Park Centennial bandstand. Its summer residency will run from June 11 to Aug. 13, with a special Ensembles Concert scheduled for Aug. 20.
