Heather Moreno endorsed by Cal Fire union in bid for supervisor
Atascadero Mayor Heather Moreno.
– Atascadero Mayor Heather Moreno has received the endorsement of Cal Fire Local 2881, in her campaign for San Luis Obispo County Supervisor.
“Good government starts with good people,” Kevin Anderson, chapter director of Local 2881, stated, “Heather Moreno is committed to the communities of San Luis Obispo County and will help ensure our residents have a safe place to work, live, and raise their families.”
Cal Fire 2881 represents the professional firefighters who work and serve in San Luis Obispo County on county contracts. They join several other public safety organizations endorsing Heather’s campaign, including the San Luis Obispo County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association, the Atascadero Police Association, and the Atascadero Professional Firefighters, Local 3600.
Moreno was appointed to the Atascadero City Council in 2012, elected in 2014, elected mayor in 2018, and re-elected mayor in 2020 and 2022. She also is a CPA and small business owner.
Moreno is running for the District 5 seat on the Board of Supervisors, which includes the City of Atascadero, part of the City of San Luis Obispo, and the unincorporated communities stretching to the county’s eastern border.
