Registration now open for Atascadero youth basketball winter league 

Youth of all skill levels from Kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to participate

– The City of Atascadero’s Recreation Division has officially opened registration for the city’s youth basketball league’s 2023-2024 winter season. Youth of all skill levels from Kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to participate in this non-competitive basketball program, emphasizing skill development, teamwork, positive attitudes, and, above all, fun.

Volunteer coaches and sponsors are crucial to the success of this program, and their support is greatly appreciated.

Key dates:

Skills clinics/assessments (free, each player in 1st through 8th grade must attend one):

• Kinder division: Oct. 17 or 25, 4-4:45 p.m.
• 1st & 2nd grade: Oct. 17 or 25, 5-5:45 p.m.
• 3rd & 4th grade: Oct. 17 or 25, 6-6:45 p.m.
• 5th & 6th grade: Oct. 18 or 25, 5-5:45 p.m.
• 7th & 8th grade: Oct. 18 or 25, 4-4:45 p.m.

Practices are scheduled to begin during the week of Nov. 27, with games commencing on Saturdays starting Jan. 6, 2024. The cost of participation is $111 for residents and $122 for non-residents.

Registration for this basketball program will close on Oct. 20.
