– Art Center Morro Bay is gearing up to showcase a live demonstration featuring artist and educator Carol Manuputy. The event, titled “Artful Images on Everyday Objects,” is poised to take place on Oct. 9, from 3 to 5 p.m.
Carol Manuputy is one half of the Peaceful Planet Design duo alongside her spouse, Richard. Having been actively engaged in their artistic endeavors since 1986, the team’s creative portfolio boasts an array of textiles, murals, paintings, and sculptures that grace the walls and spaces of hospitals, educational institutions, and various public edifices across California.
Hailing from Rochester, NY, Carol brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her craft. Holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in applied Art from CalPoly, she has been a driving force in nurturing artistic talent. Her role as an educator has extended to the SLO Art Center, public and private schools, and the couple’s own studio in Los Osos. Richard Manuputy not only contributes to their creative pursuits but also imparts his expertise in Yoga instruction and guitar playing.
The forthcoming demonstration promises an immersive experience delving into the ethos of transforming everyday objects into pieces of beauty. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with Carol’s artistic philosophy firsthand.
