School board candidate forum slated for Oct. 19
Nine candidates running for four open seats
– There will be a candidate forum for those running for the Atascadero Unified School District Board of Trustees on Wednesday, Oct. 19, from 7 – 9 pm at San Benito School Multipurpose Room. The school is located at 4300 San Benito Road, in Atascadero.
Nine candidates are running for four open seats on the board, including two incumbents and a promising group of aspirants. All were invited to share their views in this free public forum sponsored and moderated by the non-partisan service group Atascadero AAUW (American Association of University Women).
Each candidate will reply to several questions posed by the moderator and then respond to the audience. Here’s a chance to see the candidates in person, hear them speak side-by-side, and ask your questions.
AAUW Atascadero is the oldest and largest of the five branches in SLO County which belong to the national organization. AAUW
has been empowering women as individuals and as a community since 1881. For more than 130 years, the national grassroots organization has worked to improve the lives of millions of women and their families.
