SLO Libraries offers free passes to over 200 California State Parks
Passes check out for three weeks with a library card
– The County of San Luis Obispo Public Libraries now offers free passes to California State Parks for checkout.
With a County of SLO library card, patrons can check out a free vehicle day-use hangtag pass for three weeks, thanks to a partnership between California State Parks and the California State Library.
“Libraries are trusted community hubs where Californians know they can find what they need to work, play, and thrive,” said California State Librarian Greg Lucas. “This partnership with State Parks now allows Californians to ‘check out’ California’s great outdoors at their community library.”
The passes can be used at over 200 State parks. Public libraries throughout California will participate in this program.
Patrons can request a pass through the Library’s catalog at slolibrary.org by searching “Parks Pass” or by calling any County of SLO Public Libraries branch. A library card is needed to reserve a pass.
