Enrollment information for Kindergarten
The Kindergarten registration period in the Atascadero Unified School District (AUSD) begins on March 1.
Students must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2022, to be eligible for Kindergarten enrollment. Those turning 5 years old between September 2, 2022, and February 2, 2023, are eligible for enrollment in Pre-Kindergarten.
The initial enrollment period will run from March 1 through March 31, during which time parents can enroll their children online via this enrollment webpage.
The AUSD requires copies of the following information:
- Proof of legal name and age, e.g. birth certificate
- Immunization records
- Proof of address, e.g. utility bill
Completed registration documents must be returned to a family’s school of residence on or after March 1, otherwise the registration process will remain incomplete.
AUSD will host information nights for parents regarding Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten throughout February for different schools via Google Meet.
Information nights schedule:
- San Benito Elementary will meet on February 22 from 5:30-6 p.m.
- Santa Margarita Elementary will meet on February 23 from 5:30-6 p.m.
- San Gabriel Elementary will meet on February 24 from 5:30-6 p.m.
- Santa Rosa Academic Academy will meet on February 24 from 5:30-6 p.m.
- Monterey Road Elementary will meet on February 24 from 6:30-7 p.m.
Parents are encouraged to attend the information night of their school of residence or call and stop by campus for an information packet.
