Roller skate night event coming to Atascadero in early August

The event will feature a live DJ and clothing merchandise

–The San Luis Obispo Roll (Sloroll), a community initiative, will host a skate night event on Aug. 7 held at the Colony Park Community Center’s outdoor space at 5599 Traffic Way, Atascadero.

The event is free and open to all ages and levels of skaters.

Music by Connect the Coast’s DJ Brotha C, who is also known as Cav, will be playing from 7-9 p.m. Connect the Coast is an indie hip-hop record label based out of the Central Coast and is a pioneer of blockchain rap. They make crypto streetwear and audio non-fungible tokens. DJ Brotha C is the record label’s newest artist.

There will also be clothing merchandise available, which will be made and sold by Reap What U Sow, with some of the proceeds going towards the community organization.

Sloroll is dedicated to bringing roller rink-style culture and community to the Central Coast.

Atascadero’s Parks and Recreation provided the venue for the event.
