‘National Night Out’ happening Aug. 3 in Atascadero 

Atascadero police say human remains discovered are likely Native AmericanEvent designed to establish camaraderie between police and community

-The Atascadero Police Department would like to invite the community to the third annual “National Night Out.” This event will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Sunken Gardens.

“National Night Out” is an annual, community-building campaign promoting police and community partnerships designed to establish camaraderie amongst our neighborhoods to make them a safer and a more caring place to live. This year, the local “National Night Out” with the Atascadero Police Department, is an opportunity to continue good relationships between neighbors and local law enforcement, while “bringing back a true sense of community.” Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

This is a free event to all community members. The Atascadero Grocery Outlet who will be providing hot dogs, chips and water that will be served to all in attendance. For any questions, contact Sergeant John Taylor or Community Services Officer Lauren-Ashley Purify at (805) 461-5051.
