Oceano vaudeville theatre reopens after over a year

Comedy Tonight

Three shows are lined up for 2021

After a long 15 months, The Great American Melodrama & Vaudeville is reopening its doors on July 15 with a new show called “Comedy Tonight” that will run until Sept. 12.

Established in 1975, The Great American Melodrama & Vaudeville is a professional theatre located in Oceano, California, just three miles south of Pismo Beach. Throughout 2021, the Melodrama will be offering 3 shows, including “Comedy Tonight”, “Frankenstein’s Bride”, and the classic “Holiday Extravaganza”. All shows are made for kids, grandparents and everyone in between.

“Comedy Tonight” is a two-act vaudeville revue that offers guests a chance to experience a night of music and laughter. The show is filled with puns, parodies, song and dance starring some of the theatre’s regulars.

Doors will open 30 minutes before showtimes and tickets can be purchased at the door. Ticket prices start at $24 with discounts available for season pass holders.
